A PARENT
Bring lasting change to a community in poverty
Sponsor a parent ... and they will soon be supporting their whole extended family, making a valuable contribution to the community in which they live, and passing their newly-acquired skills to others.SEED trains unemployed adults who are trapped in poverty, empowering them to rent decent accommodation for their families and to send their children to school.
Sponsor a parent ... and the benefits will be felt by a whole family.
Sponsor a parent like Adam and Constance, or a carer like Bassi and Granny Prisca. Each of these has been able to use their new skills to start earning a regular income. Some have even started small businesses, employing and training others in their community. You can read their stories in the case studies section of our website.
193 adults sponsored and trained to date!
Given an average family size of eight, that's the lives of over 1,500 people transformed for the better.
Sponsor a parent ... and they will soon be an inspiration to their wider community.
The cost of training for one parent is £100. So, for the price of just a second class stamp a day (53p) - or less than £17 per month - you could sponsor the training for two parents each year.
Help change the world ... One parent, one family and one community at a time. Sustainability ... not dependency. Empowerment ... not aid.

N.B. All proceeds from SEED's campaigns are spent on operating and supporting our projects in Southern Africa. As you would expect, SEED works very closely with local communities in Southern Africa to ensure that the help we give matches their actual needs. We always seek to respect the wishes expressed by donors but, on occasion, donors' gifts may be used for other campaign projects. In this way, you can be certain that your donation is used in the most effective way possible.
