The Sustainable, Ecological and Economic Development Project - 'The SEED Project'
At The SEED Project, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors and supporters to our web site. In particular, we want you to know that The SEED Project does not share, sell, rent or trade email lists with other companies and organisations for marketing purposes.
In this Privacy Notice, we provide information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, and how we keep it secure.
The SEED Project uses respected third-party organisations, who comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to collect necessary personal details on behalf of The SEED Project for the purposes of administering donations, participation in events and distributing email communications
Types of data we collect
We use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.
This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone or their personal information. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
When someone visits our website, IP addresses, browser and session information may be used to estimate the total number of users from specific geographical regions using the website. We do this to evaluate the effectiveness of our website, for example by monitoring the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. The data is all anonymised and aggregated, so no individual can be identified.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our electronic newsletter. We ensure that you have signed up for the e-newsletter with a double opt-in sign-up procedure. We gather statistics around email opening and page clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more further information, please see MailChimp's privacy notice.
You can update your email preferences on the links at the bottom of any of our newsletters or by emailing [email protected]
Regular and one-off donations to The SEED Project are collected and administered by third-party organisations such as VirginMoneyGiving, EasyFundraising, JustGiving, Give as you Live and Charities Aid Foundation Bank (CAF), all of whom use industry standard encryption and comply with GDPR. Donor information is used to track and acknowledge donations, administer Gift Aid and provide tailored communications to various donor groups, such as regular donors.
If you have any questions or concerns about The SEED Project’s use of data, please email us at [email protected]
